Investigating IcCryptoETF: A Comprehensive Review
Would you like to see how not to design websites for CFD brokers? Are you ready to learn how to easily expose a scam project whose goal is to collect and misappropriate traders’ money? We offer you a short tour through the pages of yet another fraudulent platform – IcCryptoETF. So, read our review, check the facts, and convince yourself that avoiding becoming one of the deceived traders is not that difficult.
General Info
Overview of IcCryptoETF
We once said that we were interested in getting to know new brokers online. Let’s make a slight correction: unless it’s IcCryptoETF. One look at this mishap was enough to recognize it as a fraudulent project. However, let’s go through it step by step.
Broker History
It has become a common practice for scam brokers to avoid discussing their history, the details of which can be verified at any time. We are hardly surprised by this, as when there is nothing to say about one’s past, it’s time to replace any useful information with unnecessary verbal clutter. Do you think IcCryptoETF is any different?
You guessed it wrong. On the “Get To Know Us” page, the creators tell you why the company should be your trusted broker and what sets it apart from others. However, there is not a single mention of when IcCryptoETF was established, its achievements, or who works with the company’s clients. This approach could be aptly described as “mysterious scammers.
Iccryptoetf.io Website
When we referred to a mishap, we primarily meant IcCryptoETF’s official website. No reputable broker would tolerate such a careless creation since the website is the gateway to new clients. However, fraudsters who attract traders and their money by other means seem to find zero-quality levels quite acceptable for themselves.
There’s no need to scrutinize anything carefully here:
- The transparent header with the company’s logo and name is frustratingly fixed and significantly obstructs text readability when scrolling the page’s content.
- The developers seem to be oblivious to proper content scaling. For instance, the homepage only looks normal at an 80% scale, and the account types page requires a 67% scale.
- The display of some animated info boxes malfunctions at any scale.
- Some links on the pages lead to nowhere.
The image of coins is particularly intriguing. No, it doesn’t depict abstract bitcoins, ethers, or other cryptocurrencies as one might expect. Instead, it features real Ukrainian 25 kopecks coins. Where do you think the project that is trusted in London, Sydney, and Toronto originates from?
However, the website’s design is not its only flaw. The content here is also far from commendable. There is a minimal amount of useful information, a multitude of uninformative and likely unnecessary texts, and an excess of poorly executed self-promotion. This is what a visitor encounters on the pages of this, we repeat, mishap.
Registration Process and Personal Account
The registration procedure deserves quite a few “nice” words. To complete it, you need to enter the following information in the form:
- Personal details.
- Contact details (email and phone number).
- Password.
However, you will also need to confirm:
- Agreement with the provisions of the User Agreement (although the document is curiously named “Terms & Conditions”) and the Risk Disclosure Notice.
- The absence of U.S. residency.
However, even filling out all the fields correctly does not guarantee the opening of an account at IcCryptoETF. After submitting the form, the user is not greeted with a data verification process or access to a personal account but rather with the message, “We have received your request, see you soon!”
The main problem is that the promised “soon” never actually arrives. Obtaining a functioning account can probably only be done in one case: by contacting customer support and persuading them to create one. Why does IcCryptoETF do this? To ensure that the client is genuinely interested in trading with the broker and is ready to deposit money into their account. It’s standard practice for scammers. What else did you expect?
However, you can explore the personal account and even the trading terminal without going through the registration process. A limited-functionality demo version is available via the “Trading Platform” link in the main menu.
Various icons on the left side-bar provide access to the features of the personal account. These include account funding and withdrawal, monitoring current positions, viewing closed trade history, and profile information editing. However, we won’t go into further detail since we never managed to obtain a functional IcCryptoETF account.
Trading Platform
Naturally, we couldn’t check the full functionality of the trading platform. However, some drawbacks of the IcCryptoETF terminal are visible even in the limited demonstration mode:
- Only a single price chart can be opened in the workspace. What should traders do if they work with several instruments simultaneously?
- Chart settings (timeframes, indicators, graphical objects, etc.) remain in effect until the first page reloads/refreshes. Afterward, the entire configuration process needs to be repeated. This applies to terminal settings as well. It creates the impression that IcCryptoETF deliberately designed software to make trading more challenging for traders.
- There is no mention of a reliable connection at all. The web client frequently loses connection with the server, practically every 10 minutes. Subsequently, the page reload follows (which, by the way, is quite slow), and you must reconfigure settings. Can you make a profit in such conditions?
Only IcCryptoETF can provide a positive answer to the last question. All losses incurred by traders turn into profits for the broker, who acts as the counterparty in the client’s trades. So, could our assumptions from the second point be correct?
Contacts
We were genuinely pleased to review IcCryptoETF’s contact details on the dedicated page of the official website. No issues with the contact form and the email support@iccrypto.email.
Besides, IcCryptoETF lacks a physical office address (we searched for it for a long time but couldn’t find it). It appears that the broker, despite earning trust in Switzerland, couldn’t muster a reasonable sum to even rent a virtual office with a mailing address and phone. You can draw your own conclusions.
Analysis of Services Offered by IcCryptoETF
Well, it’s time to take a closer look at the broker’s trading conditions and services. However, for some reason, we are confident that our opinion of IcCryptoETF will only deteriorate.
Funding and Withdrawal
We couldn’t examine how financial operations are organized in the IcCryptoETF Client Area with a non-functional account. Nevertheless, in the broker’s FAQ, it explains that it accepts and disburses funds through bank transfers or debit/credit card transactions.
We would have gladly believed them. But something, like the name IcCryptoETF, suggests to us that this isn’t entirely true. We are more than convinced that cryptocurrency transactions are the primary payment method on the platform. This is how scammers can maintain complete anonymity. Furthermore, even if financial regulatory authorities obtain wallet details, determining the owner won’t be that simple.
IcCryptoETF Trading Conditions
We expected to see the broker’s trading conditions in the list of available account types for traders. However, IcCryptoETF decided that potential clients only need information about the minimum deposit size and maximum leverage. Thus, we know that IcCryptoETF offers five types of trading accounts:
- The Trial.
- Secondary Income.
- Managed Portfolio.
- The Retiree.
- The Heritage.
To trade with the chosen plan, a trader needs to deposit between $250 and $250,000 and gain access to leverage ranging from 1:200 to 1:400. The other options provided by the broker don’t make practical sense for experienced traders and are designed to lure newcomers.
Unique Features
There is also a special offer from IcCryptoETF related to the account types. It extends an invitation to the VIP program for traders who can afford to deposit over $250,000 into the scammer’s account. The broker modestly refrains from disclosing the program’s details, inviting traders to inquire further with the company’s specialists.
Is IcCryptoETF Trustworthy and Reliable?
We have long ceased to doubt that we are dealing with a fraudulent broker. For those who still need more evidence, we present official information about IcCryptoETF.
Assessing Legitimacy
While IcCryptoETF claims to have earned trust in all over the world, it oddly conceals its actual place of registration. The only document where we managed to find mention of it is the “Terms & Conditions.” It states the priority of saint vincent and the grenadines’ courts (the country’s name is given in the text exactly like that). Let’s not mention the competence of the drafters; instead, let’s check for any records of this project in the registry of the local financial regulator SVGFSA.
As expected, the verification yielded no results – the broker is not registered here. While we might speculate about its place of origin, looking at the picture of Ukrainian coins, we are confident that the company did not undergo official registration there either. The only place where IcCryptoETF exists is on the internet; the virtual broker has no registration, license, or agreements with liquidity providers. This means it does not engage in actual trading; it merely accepts client funds and fraudulently misappropriates them.
Established Track Record
The final touch to the rather unattractive portrait of IcCryptoETF is the project’s time of existence. Although the broker does not disclose its creation date, we can clarify it by the domain registration time in the whois service.
Here, we encounter a small surprise – at the time of writing this review, the project had been online for just couple of months. Clearly, all the claims, including the repeatedly mentioned trust, are nothing but a common fake.
Meanwhile, you should know that IcCcryptoETF is just a rebranding of the notorious scammer IC-Crypto, which previously scammed numerous clients.
Implications for Traders
IcCryptoETF – an exemplary scam broker that couldn’t even hide its fraudulent nature effectively. A poor official website, only 2 weeks in existence, operating without registration and a license – a perfect list of reasons to forget about this project forever. Do not open accounts here, and do not fund them.
Strengths and Weaknesses of IcCryptoETF
- $250 to start and a leverage of up to 1:400 – a successful combination to earn a lot while risking little.
- In addition to traditional trading accounts, the list includes VIP accounts with unique conditions and options (probably).
- The broker only exists on the internet. It operates without company registration.
- Naturally, this platform lacks licenses, and no regulator controls its activities.
- Quotes provided by the broker have nothing in common with official ones, just like the real liquidity providers with order execution.
- The trading platform does not assist but hinders traders in making a profit.
- The platform has been on the market for only 2 weeks.
3 Reviews about IcCryptoETF
Scammers from IcCryptoETF contacted me themselves. At that time, I had no intention of working with them, but they were so convincing that I decided to partially "migrate" from another broker. I withdrew $1,600 from my account and transferred it to the platform, starting to work. My surprise was enormous when I found out that even after suffering losses due to the terrible platform, the scammers didn't plan to part with my money so easily. Some talks about a minimum withdrawal amount, taxes, insurance. In short, clearly scammers! So, think about it now.
Due to scammers like IcCryptoETF, I am immensely disappointed in trading! If all brokers are the same, then I have serious doubts that an ordinary person can achieve anything, earn something. I opened an account here and deposited $5,000 a week ago. Now I have less than half left due to constant losses. Perhaps the problem is with the trading terminal? It's glitchy and freezes. Additionally, the commissions here are unstable, and I doubt if this is normal... In general, my impressions are entirely negative, and I do not recommend and will not recommend anyone to work with this broker!!!
I started on Icryptoetf.io brilliantly, with a little help from the company's employees, I earned almost 25% of my deposit within a week. But when I tried to withdraw the profit, I received a refusal, saying that I had not passed verification. Although it was the first thing I did after registering, and there were no questions for me. Support now ignores my appeals. Doesn't even answer my calls and chats. I regret contacting scammers. Do not repeat others' mistakes.
